And Now, a Few Words From the Candidates

Our new section called "And Furthermore..." presents articles and editorials by the candidates. Good stuff here. Check it out.

STUFF THAT WE THOUGHT WAS WORTH REPRINTING

We spend a lot of time on the Net perusing political publications for perspicacious punditry. Now and then we find things we think are important enough to share with you and we beg and grovel until the publishers let us reprint them here.

One of the things about which we are rabid is the blatant bias of the major media. We find it particularly disturbing because most Americans get their world view from television and other mainstream media sources. This puts the powers behind the programming and publishing in a position of disturbing power.

F'rinstance...

Did you know that the Federal Government has been actively influencing the content of popular entertainment shows? Here's the straight scoop on how they push an anti-drug agenda:

The White House Doctors ER, et al (NewsMax, January 14th, 2000)

We were also disturbed by a report from the Media Research Center on the blatantly unbalanced coverage of the gun control issue by the network media. While some may argue that the MRC is a conservative organization with its own agenda, the facts speak for themselves.

We're being hustled.

Outgunned: How the Network News Media Are Spinning the Gun Control Debate
(Note: This link takes you offsite to the Media Resource Center website because the article is illustrated with charts and other graphics.)

In the same vein, Dave Kopel's An Army of Lies in the National Review documents the falsehoods propagated by the gun control advocates in their efforts to win converts.

And let us not forget...

THE VIEW FROM ACROSS THE POND

LAND OF THE FREE OR HOME OF THE MEEK?
