If you are looking for a candidate who openly represents "New Age" political and spiritual ideology, Da Vid is your man. This 52 year old independent candidate from Mill Valley, CA describes himself as an artist, physician, Qabalist, entrepreneur, visionary, and Founder of The Light Party. We presume that this is "light" as in white light, clear light, rainbow light etc. rather than the political equivalent of Miller Light. Having spent not only this lifetime but apparently many previous ones as well, pursuing creative enlightenment and wholistic health, Da Vid made his first political appearance in the 1992 New Hampshire primary as a write-in candidate. He lost to Clinton, but discovered his political niche and purpose: "...now is the time to acknowledge our truths and make the necessary corrections/adjustments on both a personal and collective level, so that we insure and actualize our inherent birthright which is "Health, Peace and Freedom" for ourselves, our loved ones, future generations, and ultimately for all of Humanity."

For his particular New Age culture Da Vid is a good representative. He embraces diversity and creativity and appears to have a global perspective. However, his rather rambling and self-satisfied musings are rather generalized and likely to be incomprehensible to anyone not already sharing his particular esoteric viewpoint. He reads like a man on a personal, spiritual journey rather than a politically savvy man on a quest for the White House and it seems unlikely that his particular brand of white light will be shining in the Oval Office anytime soon.
