Ok.
Let's see if we've got this straight - these
are politically correct, environmentally concerned
Nazis who support equality, believe in the
principles of the Constitution, and promote
individual rights and liberties, and the legalization
of drugs? Really?
Strange stuff.
While most Americans are conditioned to experience
an instant, gut-level rejection of anything
tinged with the "N" word (no, not
that N word, the other N word), the
Libertarian National Socialist Green Party
platform appears to be well-conceived, sound,
and nothing at all like the jackbooted, white
supremicist invective spewed by run-of-the-mill
skinhead Nazi-wannabees. In fact, we couldn't
find anything in their theories or their platform
that warranted serious criticism, nothing
that triggered our Wacko Detector.Very
strange stuff, indeed.
OFFICIAL
PLATFORM STATEMENT
FROM THE OFFICIAL WEB PAGE
"The
Libertarian National Socialist Green Party
is an independent political movement dedicated
to restoring autonomy to the citizen, equity
to the opportunity presented within society,
a change in attitudes toward normative objectives,
a reduction of legal complexity and applications
to the individual, a focus on ensuring rights
and freedom for all Americans, an environmental
policy which puts our children before our
immediate needs, an immigrant naturalization
plan, and a return to the focus on justice
and individual rights in America.
We are individuals like you who have chosen
not to accept the easy answers of modern
society and to search to the root of all
philosophical method to ascertain the essence
of behavior. Our findings have led us to
reject Judeo-Christian moral standards,
victim mentality political behavior, capital-centric
value systems, and authority as a means
of accomplishing any meaningful change in
our world.
The
Libertarian National Socialist Green Party
is in part based upon the work of the Libertarian
party from whom we gain appreciation for
the individual spirit and independence from
a morally-judgmental, active government.
From the Green party we inherit extreme
concepts of practical ecological value.
Our emphasis upon self-reliance, diligence,
and individual labor without interruption
from the herd or the whining of the weak
comes from the National Socialist regime
of Germany, who despite dubious victories
maintained the most powerful empire on earth".
THE
DARKHORSE2000 FISHY-EYED ASSESSMENT
We're
not sure what to make of the Libertarian National Socialist
Green Party. National Socialists (read: Nazis) aren't known
for sound thinking, but these folks are the exception. Are they
really a serious political organization or is it all a brilliantly
executed, deadpan put-on?
Of course, they don't stand a chance in the political arena
because Nazis are notably lacking in popularity with American
voters. If they changed their name and bagged the swastika motif,
they could be real contenders. Take the time to read the full
text of their platform
and you'll see what we mean.
If
nothing else, it's worth a trip to their site for the nifty
collection of Nazi
clip art.
Like
we said, strange stuff.
