PARTY OVERVIEW

It's hard to surmise the goals of a political group such as the National Sovereignty Party, especially when the first page and a half of their Web site is the form for their guestbook. This all comes before the title. But a little extra scrolling reveals that NSP has a thing about taxes and their candidate, Mike B. Martisko, has a bigger and better plan for us all.

OFFICIAL PLATFORM STATEMENT
FROM THE OFFICIAL WEB PAGE

The Budget of the United States, for any given year, shall not exceed 85% of the total revenues collected in the previous year. These funds shall be used solely for the purposes of providing for the Common Defense of the Nation, the general welfare of its citizens, and to create an infrastructure that provides equal access and opportunity for all citizens. The balance of these revenues shall be placed into a contingency fund that shall only be used in the event of a disaster or calamity to provide emergency relief to help those affected, to rebuild homes, businesses, and any infrastructures that may have been destroyed by the aforementioned disaster and /or calamity.

THE DARKHORSE2000 FISHY-EYED ASSESSMENT

The National Soverign Partry's platform, what little there is of it, is actually a not-half-bad idea. Unfortunately, it seems to be their only idea. If we take this one trick pony's Hitometer as a public poll of the National Sovereignty Party's popularity, we'd have to conclude that they don't have broad-based support. Just 942 visitors and counting. If their philosophy has no more depth than their Web site (2 pages), their chances are just as slim.
