Politicians
lie. Nothing surprising in that revelation.
Way
back in ancient Greece, Socrates said he was, "...
really too honest a man to be a politician and live."
Abraham Lincoln thought that, "Politicians are one
long step removed from honest men." George Orwell warned
us that, " Political
language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder
respectable, and to give an appearance of solidarity to
pure wind", and I.F. Stone summed it up succinctly
by saying that, " Every
government is run by liars and nothing they say should be
believed"
It's
probably safe to assume that the two top contenders in the
coming presidential election are probably no exception to
this tradition and are, like most of their fellow politicians,
lying weasels.
