About the DarkHorse2000 Questionnaire

In our relentless quest to bring you the Web's best coverage of ALL the presidential candidates, we created an extensive questionnaire and sent it out to all 235 candidates on our list. We haven't gotten them all back yet, but they're steadily trickling in and we'll put them up as they arrive.

Our questionnaire covered not only the usual personal data and their position on the important issues, but a series of questions designed to give you a unique insight into the character and personality of the candidates.

We think you'll find their answers informative, insightful, and entertaining.

Average

POSITION ON THE ISSUES

ABORTION:

Late-term abortions should be banned. Abortion clinics should be regulated. No one should be forced to perform an abortion. Generally, I am opposed to abortion; it is unnecessary.

GUN CONTROL:

There should be a ban on the sale of certain weapons, like Teflon bullets and semiautomatic rifles. But guns should not be kept out of the hands of law-abiding citizens. This would be a step in establishing a police state.

DRUGS:

Drugs are a spiritual problem that we have in America because there is no meaning or purpose in life other than making and spending money.

MILITARY SPENDING:

Spending should be increased to enable the U.S. to fight two wars at the same time.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION:

Recycling should be given top priority.

EDUCATION:

Standards should be increased. The Creation Theory should be give equal or preferred status over the Evolution theory.

SUPPORT FOR THE ARTS:

No federal support of the arts. Art should sell itself. Too much money is wasted on supporting trash that is called, "art."

IMMIGRATION:

We should not be sending little 6-year old Cuban refugees back to Castro.

FOREIGN AID:

We should help impoverished countries, like Haiti, to improve their economy

PRIVACY RIGHTS:

Abortion is not a privacy right. Federal agents should not raid homes to snatch away 6-year old Cuban refugees at 5AM without a court order.

INTERNET REGULATION:

Anti-pornography laws should be enforced. Currently, they are not being enforced.

CORPORATE REGULATION:

Cartels, like OPEC, should be excluded from doing business in the U.S.

DEATH PENALTY:

A criminal should not be executed unless there are at least two witnesses.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU'D LIKE TO ADD?

Plenty. No free trade with any country whose minimum wage is far below our own. An end to gasoline as our primary source of fuel for our automobiles. A commitment to land men on Mars within 10 years as a start to colonization.
