ABORTION:

I am pro-life. I would support a ban on; partial-birth abortions, government funding for abortions, and government funding of propaganda that supports abortions. I would not support a constitutional ammendment to ban abortions. I would nominate supreme court justices that support my position.

GUN CONTROL:

I support the 2nd Ammendment. I am not opposed to waiting periods.

DRUGS:

The current drug policy is designed to take away the rights of every American. A policy should be devised that would truly help those who want it and not help those who just want to feel good. Some trial and error programs in specified areas should be tried. I am not opposed to legalizing marijuana and perhaps other drugs.

MILITARY SPENDING:

Way to low. The men and women who are charged with defending this country should be the best equipped and trained in the world. They should not be used for any other purpose other than to defend this country and it's interests.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION:

We have long way to go. First I would consolidate EPA and OSHA and remove most of the lawyers and replace them with real scientists. I would establish field teams to work with states and co-locate them with the AG people. The largest polluter on the planet is the Federal Government. I would clean up my own back yard.

EDUCATION:

Gradually eliminate the federal Dept. of Education. Education is a state >responsibility.

SUPPORT FOR THE ARTS:

I have no problem with supporting the arts. If it is turned entirley over to private patrons then people like me might never have an opportunity to see great art. Public broadcasting receives a small percentage of its revenues from the govt. If govt. funding were removed would they go belly up?

IMMIGRATION:

This is a land of immigrants. Immigration is a federal problem. The states should not have to bear the brunt of enforcing immigration laws. I would eliminate some of the give-aways that illegal immigrants receive. This does not include eliminating medical assistance.

FOREIGN AID:

Reduce foreign aid where possible. Collect debts if possible. Aid and assist our friends, allies, in time of need. Aid others in need if we can avoid an intanglement.

PRIVACY RIGHTS:

I support the constitution. I would order the Department of Justice to seek out and challenge every suspect drug law and other laws that have restricted or reduced our right to privacy. I would review Executive orders, especially those issued in the past eight years, and rescind those that violate privacy rights.

INTERNET REGULATION:

I am opposed to federal regulation of the internet but would keep my options open. I can't see into the future.

CORPORATE REGULATION:

I am not familiar enough with existing laws to make a determination. I would charge the Justice department with evaluating the laws and subsequently challenging those that do not meet the constitutional test.

DEATH PENALTY:

In my heart I am opposed to the death penalty. However there have been times when a crime is so horendous that I have thought that the guilty person should be cooked in bacon fat. I would not oppose legislation recommending the death penalty.

The leading candidates for president have no dreams. I have plenty of dreams and hopes for the American people. The executive branch needs to be restructured, agencies eliminated, and functions consolidated.
