I became intriqued with the technology and art of the electric guitar sometime back in the 1980s. Didn't take me long to discover that I had an inexplicable intuitive talent for building great guitars. Inexplicable, because I have absolutely no talent as a musician. But maybe that's one of the things that made me so good. If I could build a guitar that I could play well, it would be heaven for a real guitar player.

I opened a custom guitar shop and everything was peaches and cream. Then one day I realized that if I continued to build guitars, I was going to have to spend the rest of my life conversing with guitar and bass players.

I don't build guitars anymore.
