2000 Links to Political Information Sites
WeĠve tried to make this list of political resources as complete as possible, but weĠre bound to have missed a few here and there. YouĠll find a lot more sites in some categories than others. WeĠre not showing favoritism or slanting our coverage - we're just giving you what we've found.
We were surprised to discover that folks on the right side of the political spectrum seem much more inclined to build websites promoting their views and causes than those of a more liberal inclination. We draw no conclusions from this, only wonder. Perhaps right-wingers follow a stronger work ethic and stay at home building websites while the lefties prefer to spend their time writing coffeehouse manifestos and marching for lost causes. If we were good little academics, we'd do a socio-political study of the phenomena. But we're not so we won't and we don't really care.
We think we've classified the sites as accurately and logically as we could. But like all systems of classification, it is subject to human frailty and the whims of the classifiers - and we're as frail and whimsical as they come. We won't even get into the logic part.
In most of the categories, the sites are filed alphabetically, with the exception of a few categories where weĠve filed them by sub-categories (Federal Government sites, for instance) or by their relative content depth and usefulness. It's kind of arbitrary, but we think it will make it easier to find the information you want. If it doesnĠt, please let us know.
